Well this is pretty cool seeing where everybody is its helping me with my geography. I've never been good with it out of the US. I've been to 48 of the 50 states plus Canada multiple times and Mexico twice haven't been to Alaska just yet or Hawaii. I've never crossed the sea yet so everything over there is still quite foreign to me.
DreamscapeEagle if you travel don't come to Florida in the summer its hot and rains every day the winter is the time to come here it's like what a perfect summer elsewhere is.
ThePainLingers I drove though that state like the day before Christmas and let me tell you there is a whole lot of nothing where I drove. I passed El Paso around noon and literally was doing 100 mph till almost San Antonio and there was nothing and I didn't get to San Antonio till like 8 that evening. It was dark the rest of the way through so I don't know if the view changed.
Knight: Washington is a very beautiful state if you like woods, trails, hiking, canoeing, snowmobiling, jet skiing, ,skiing, camping etc... I could go on but the problem is a lot of that you only have 3 maybe 4 months depending on that year the weather up there is never the same each year. Some summers are great others just suck same as winter. I left and drove through the worst winter I have ever seen there in a rental car with crappy traction driving through Portland was scary especially since they just open I5 back up I thought I was going to bottom out in the ruts on the road.
I framed in Bellevue for almost a year and I liked the area and of course that would be a good place to go and get a computer job since your already at Microsoft's doorstep. The Fall and Winter are always grey so it can be a little depressing . I haven't been to Maine since 81 so I can't tell you if the weather is similar or not. I just got sick of the grey and after visiting Florida for Christmas every year in the Winter I fell in love with it, but that is probably because I would have to work out in it every single day a standing in the cold rain starts to suck after awhile.
Good luck with going to school there it is a beautiful place with 2 sets of mountain ranges on both sides of you and a great view of Mt. Rainier.
Hope to see some more places posted here I like looking them up to see what's out there
I need a compiler with a can of RAID built into it
